William Francis Rohr, 83, Kewaunee, passed away on January 23, 2024. Bill was born on March 4, 1940, to the late Florian and Clara (Chapek) Rohr. On August 1, 1964, he married Catherine Otto. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2023. Bill was a member of the U.S. Navy, where he served in France as a Secretary to the Admiral. He retired from Kewaunee Fabrication in 2000 as a welder and in maintenance.
Bill was a founding member or the Kewaunee Moonriders in 1971, he flat tracked Daytona Beach on a Harley KR, scramble raced motorcycles, raced stock cars from 1961-1979. He owned and operated Rohr's Small Engine from 1971-1986 where he sold and repaired snowmobiles, minibikes, lawnmowers, snowblowers, Hodaka motorcycles, weed eaters, and Poulan chainsaws. But above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

“I will miss singing “Kansas City”, cutting wood, and driving countless miles just to look for deer with you.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Tracy Rohr; grandchildren, Jonathan (Harley) Duesing, Taylor (Dalton Brier) Duesing; great-grandchildren, Kaylin, William, Kailea, and Destyn; brothers, Mike (special friend Greda) Rohr; sisters-in-law, Carol Rohr, Pam (Steve) Frankowski; as well as by many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Florian and Clara Rohr; in-laws; Orman and Eva Otto; brothers, Florian Rohr, Jim (Jean) Rohr, Tom (Sandy) Rohr, David Rohr; brothers-in-law, Mike Otto, and Alan Otto; sisters, Florence (Vince) Vlasak, Joyce (Floyd) Sellers, Nancy (Skip) Rayome; sister-in-law, Lynn; and granddaughter, Nicole Duesing.
Visitation will take place at Community Congregational Church – Kewaunee, on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 9:00 am -12:00 pm. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm with Pastor Rick Koch officiating. Burial will take place in Riverview cemetery at a later date.
