Wayne J. Fischer

Wayne J. Fischer, 86, Kewaunee, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at his home. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 25, 1938, to the late Joseph and Agnes Fischer. He married Janet Kowalski at St. Peter's Church in Chicago, IL on December 23, 1976.

Wayne was a supervisor for Non-emergency Services, Department of Streets and Sanitation in Chicago, IL. Wayne's faith and family were very important to him. While living in Chicago, he was a member of the Holy Name Society. After moving to Kewaunee, Wayne continued to sell real estate. He loved doing it, and it was more of a hobby than a job. Wayne also loved the beauty of the outdoors soaking up the sun and spent time outside golfing and bike riding.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet; children, Wayne Jr. (Heather) Fischer of Golden, CO, Wendy (Jack Porter) Stevens of Elmhurst, IL, Wess (Patty) Fischer of Des Plaines, IL, and Robert (Ann) Fischer of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Amanda, Madison, Morgan, Wyatt, Mark, Haley, Quinton, Allison, and Aaron; great grandchild, Jackson. He is further survived by his sister, Susan (Jamie) Ellison; and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Whitney Cummings; and his sister, Joanne Adams.

Visitation will take place Friday, December 27, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kinnard Funeral Home - Kewaunee. A prayer service will follow at 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 9:30 am - 10:45 am at Holy Rosary Church in Kewaunee. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am with Fr. George Daniel and Msgr. Jim Dillenburg officiating. Burial in the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
