Sharon A. (Monfils) Beck

Sharon A. Beck (Monfils), just 73, of Algoma passed away unexpectedly in her home on November 14, 2022.

Sharon was born on August 10, 1949, in Dyckesville, WI. She was a graduate of East DePere High School class of 1967. She was fortunate enough to retire from Procter & Gamble decades ago. Since then Sharon has dedicated her time taking care of the animals she loved too much, and the land she called home. She became caretaker of the stray cats of Algoma. No matter what words left her mouth for the last 20 years, she never stopped feeding them their favorite chicken puree, buying all of the medicine they needed, and doing whatever she could to make sure they survived while choosing her land to call home. She let her last of many many beautiful horses outlive her, but she passed her love and admiration for them onto her daughter so Penny will live out her life exactly where she was meant to. Sharon was an avid donor for the Paralyzed Veterans of America, in honor and remembrance of her brother and father.

Sharon is survived by her one and only daughter, Nicole Beck and fiancé Kevin LaCrosse. She is also survived by her only sister, Diane Leck and brother Steven (Kari) Leonard, along with her grandchildren; Ashley Beck and Cody Beck, and great grandchildren; Ryder Beck and Beckett Marin, as well as her lifelong best friend, Charlotte Weber and her close cousin Joyce Warner. She is also survived by so many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sharon is now home with her parents the late Elmer and Mae (DeJardin) Monfils, as well as her big brother, Kenneth Monfils.
