Sandra A. (Witte) Seidl, age 70, of Kewaunee, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2017, following a brief illness. Sandra was born on January 16, 1947, the only child of Edward and Lorraine (Paplham) Witte.
Sandy attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart, John O. Seidl on November 8, 1969.
She worked at Job’s Clover Farm Store immediately following High School. After starting a family, she was a full time dedicated housewife and mother for her four children, and later caring for her grandchildren, providing taxi and chef services to them regularly.
Sandy was an avid crossword puzzle solver, Canasta card player, Aggravation player and also enjoyed many other card games. She was a very competitive player, rarely allowing John to claim victory. She tackled the daily crossword puzzle in the Press-Gazette for many years, often completing it. She enjoyed feeding and admiring birds that frequented her feeder. She had impressive artistic capabilities and loved to doodle.
Survivors include her husband: John O.; four children: Tammy Potts, Green Bay; Peggy (David) Seidl, Kewaunee; Amy (Cory) Cochart, Casco; Andy (Sarah) Seidl, Luxemburg. Eight grandchildren: Cody, Taylor and Colton Potts; Jacob and Kyle Seidl; Carly and Brody Cochart and Braelyn Seidl; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Elaine (David) Klassell and Shirley Seidl. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: John H. and Lillian (Tess) Seidl; her brothers-in-law: Kenneth Seidl and Lloyd Beauchamp and uncles, aunts and cousins.
Friends may call after 3:00 PM Friday, September 1 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 PM by Dcn. Chuck Agnew.
