Ruth E. (Zimmerman) Boor

Ruth Boor, age 95, of Kewaunee died on Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Kewaunee Care Center.  She was born on October 20, 1925 in Kewaunee to the late Walter and Ella (Jerovitz) Zimmerman.  She graduated from the Kewaunee German Lutheran School.

She worked at the Kewaunee Pastry Shoppe, then at the Kewaunee Health Care Center as a C.N.A. for thirty-five years.

She married Willard Boor on September 22, 1942 and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2000.  She loved to do water scene painting, cooking, sewing and gardening.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law: John and Rhonda, Neenah, Larry and Margaret, Sheboygan, Leroy and Carol, Sheboygan, Randy, Kewaunee.  Eighteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons: Billy Boor and James Boor, three brothers, one sister, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Dolly Boor and one great grandson.

Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 24 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Joe Mitchell officiating.  A private burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for World Bible School.  Sympathy cards may be sent to the funeral home with her Ruth’s name on the envelope.
