Ruth E. (Koss) Annoye, 94, of Rural Algoma, passed away peacefully this morning, May 21, 2024, with family by her side. She was born in Casco on September 16, 1929, to the late Charles Sr. and Edith (Romdene) Koss. She was a 1947 graduate of Casco High School. On November 12, 1949, Ruth married Stanley Annoye at Holy Trinity Church, Casco. In her younger years she worked with her mother picking apples at Halls Orchards. Ruth was also employed at the Hanson Glove Co. before marriage. She devoted herself as a homemaker, farm wife, and raising their four children. She was proud to have volunteered at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lincoln. She loved spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family, especially around the holidays. She always insisted on being called "Grandma Ruthie."
Survivors include her four children, Dennis Annoye, Dale (David) Annoye, Darlene Annoye, and Diane (Kerry) Heling; grandchildren, Trish (Brad) Geisel, Kristy (Mike) Kaye, and Bryan (Samantha) Heling; great-grandchildren, Gaige and Gavin Geisel, Brianna and Alanah Kaye, Romyn Heling, Summer and Calli Bella; her sisters-in-law, Ramona Koss, Beverly Pierre, and Helen Annoye; as well as by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; parents, Charles Sr. and Edith Koss; her sister, LaVerne (Donald) Soquet, brother, Charles Koss Jr., mother- and father-in-law, Alex and Victoria Annoye; other in-laws, Vincent, Harry (Martha), Elmer, Roland (Vernal), Lorraine (Harold) DeGuelle, Lorretta (twin sister) Annoye, Francis Pierre; as well as by nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church - Lincoln, on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 12:00 noon with Fr. Rex Palaya officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Kewaunee Health Services for their outstanding care, the good meals, and Angie in activities, especially the nurses and Aides Donna, Jackie, and Cira.
