Ronald Chester DeLain , 75, of Casco passed away October 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital (Mayo Clinic) Rochester, MN. Ron was born April 1, 1941 to the late Chester and Rose (Bouche) Delain. Ron graduated from Casco High School then Door/Kewaunee Teachers College before attending UW Oshkosh for his Bachelor's degree and then on to Northern Michigan University for his Masters. He married Laurell LaCount on August 1, 1964 in Sobieski, WI. He was a teacher in Pulaski and East DePere for 37 years total. In addition to teaching, he enjoyed farming for most of his life. He loved to travel, fix things and polka dancing.
Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Laurell; children, Denise (Joe) Magle, Renee (special friend Paul) Wiedow, Amy (special friend Allan) DeLain; grandchildren, Cassandra (FiancAC. Jeremy), Justin, and Cory; sister, Nathalie (Andrew) Iwen; brothers-in-law, Darrell LaCount, David (Kay) LaCount, Gary (Jane) LaCount, Wayne (Debbie) LaCount; sisters-in-law, Carol (Florian) Wesolowski, Bev (Mark) Reince; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue at the Funeral Home on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 am. Funeral will take place at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Church, Casco with Father Milton Suess officiating.
