Roger E. Brandt , 70, of Algoma passed away on Friday April 24, 2015. He was born on January 2, 1945 in Port Washington WI to the late Walter H. and Rosa L. (Flok) Brandt. On October 14, 1972 in Newburg WI he married Katie Vida. Roger truly enjoyed farming, and also found joy in growing and picking raspberries, gardening, watching agriculture shows, hunting, and especially Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife Katie; one son Steve Brandt of California; and three brothers and sisters-in-law Irv (Arlene) Brandt, Bill (Diane) Brandt, and Ray (Kathy) Brandt all of Cedarburg WI. Roger is further survived by his brothers -in- law and sisters- in -law Jim (Deb)Vida, Slinger, WI; Terry (Gary) Cook, Waukesha, WI; Mike (Jill) Vida, Adell, WI; David (Lisa) Vida, Theresa, WI; Mary (Rich) Martens, Texas; John (Maria) Vida, Las Vegas; and Bob (Wendy) Vida, Las Vegas; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Walter and Howard, and one sister Rosie.
Family and friends may gather at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, 1617 Flora Ave., Algoma, 54201 for a memorial service on Sunday May 3, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at here . A celebration of Roger's life will also be held in Cedarburg, WI at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Roger's name.
