Robert “Bob” Kinjerski , 84, Kewaunee, passed away on Saturday evening, February 18, 2023, at Bellin hospital with family by his side. He was born on October 13, 1938, in West Kewaunee to the late Harry and Anita (Plohar) Kinjerski.
He joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1964. On November 18, 1961, he married Gail Gasche at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pilsen. They were married 61 years. Bob worked at various shipyards in the area and was a member of Boilermakers Local 107 in Milwaukee for 58 years where he worked at various locations in the state. He was a member of the American Legion for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing baseball, and softball, and playing dartball in his early life. He enjoyed watching his sons and grandchildren playing in high school sports and college softball and track. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, and westerns. He enjoyed working in the garage and working on various welding projects. On many occasions his friends stopped by while he was in the garage. He enjoyed listening to Polka music.
Bob is survived by his wife Gail Kinjerski; four children, Bruce Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Kevin Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Richard (Carolyn) Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Keith (Alice) Kinjerski, Maribel; six grandchildren, Trista (Kayla) Haberli, Sturgeon Bay; Courtney (Dakota) Ducat, Kewaunee; Sierra (Dillon) Witczak, Kewaunee; Isaac Kinjerski, Madison; Aaron Kinjerski, Maribel; Sophie Kinjerski (Dustin Dworak), Whitewater; nine great-grandchildren Anthony, Cash Haberli; Gracie, Maverick, and Lily Ducat; Aria, Jade, Josie, and Cashton Witczak; two brothers, Harry (Carl) Kinjerski, Stangelville; Paul (Vonnie) Kinjerski, East Krok; two sisters, Joanne Hegnet, Forestville; Jean (Ted) Janowski, Athelstane; one brother-in-law, Glenn Gasche, Bellevue; and three sisters-in-law, Rose Kinjerski, New Franken; Lynn Blaha, Two Creeks; Sharon Harris, New York.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Edward Kinjerski, Norbert (Shirley) Kinjerski; one sister-in-law, Edwardine Kinjerski; four brothers-in-law, Maynard Hegnet, Jim Blaha, Harlan Gasche, and Thomas Harris.
Visitation will take place at St. Hedwig – East Krok, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 9-11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating.
