Robert (Bob) L. Baudhuin , 63, of Slovan passed away unexpectedly at Bellin Memorial Hospital on Sunday July 2, 2017. Bob was born on June 10, 1954 in Green Bay to the late Harold and Noreen (Sisel) Baudhuin.
Senior year of high school he worked for Luxemburg Motor Company, which began a life-long friendship with the Massart family. Bob graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High in 1972. He worked with his parents on their family farm that had been purchased in 1908 by his Grandparents Louis and Agnes Sisel.
On November 26, 1977 Bob was united in marriage with the love of his life Karen (Dellemann) at St. Joseph’s Parish, Pilsen. Bob then joined a partnership with his parents. They later purchased the family farm in 1986. In 2000, he formed Baudhuin’s Grandview Dairy with his wife and children by his side. At that time Bob also took over the tradition of Dairyland Seed sales from his father.
Bob was a friend to all. He had a great love for God, family, farming and neighbors. Wherever he went, he found an old friend, or made a new friend. He always had stories to tell. He loved to wish family, friends and neighbors Happy Birthday.
Bob looked forward to the Casco Church Picnic, Luxemburg Motor Christmas party, Kewaunee County Fair tractor pull and Dairyland Seed activities. As these were special events and a big part of his livelihood. Bob carried on a family past-time for Mopar vehicles. Or, you could say Bob highly encouraged the love of Mopar and Massey, to everyone he met. Bob requested we remember him as just a “regular guy”, but to those who knew him, he was so much more.
Bob felt a strong need to support the neighboring community. Bob was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, and was on the Parish Board. He was on the Board for St. Adalbert’s Cemetery and former Parish Council member. He was Kewaunee County’s Outstanding Young Farmer for 1989. He was on the Lakeshore Farm Management Board, and a member of Farm Bureau and L-C FFA Alumni.
Bob is survived by his wife Karen of 39 years; son Rob (Tammy) and their children Isaac, Isabel, Eli, and Emmett; son Michael (Jennifer) and their children Alexandria, Lily, and Jacob; daughter Christine (special friend Luke) and her daughter Emma; daughter Jauqueline; and daughter Rebecca (Logan) Wiesman and their baby on the way; sisters Sandra (Chuck) Augustine, Lisa (Bruce) DePeau, and Sue (Wayne) Richardson; step-sister Melanie (Dan) Barrington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bill Dellemann (special friend Eileen), Fran (Sid) LaCrosse, Jack (Mary) Dellemann, Helen (Joe) LaCrosse, Bob ( Sandy) Dellemann, Nancy (Dennis) Haucke, Joe (Gail) Dellemann, and Grace (Billy) Slayton.
