Rita Mae Heraly , 87, Casco, passed away January 12, 2018, at Autumn Fields. Rita was born April 4, 1930 to the late Ernest and Emma (Delain) Fameree. She married Loyd Heraly at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco on September 6, 1954. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2016. Rita practiced her nursing education in Appleton. In 1971 she and Loyd purchased Hillside Palace. They operated it together for 20 years. She was a second Mom to many people.
Rita is survived by her 3 sons and daughter, Brent (Lori) Heraly, Texas, Chuck (Lorri) Heraly, Casco, Brenda (Chris) Thiry, De Pere, Chris (Tammy) Heraly, Green Bay; daughter-in-law, Michelle (Carl) Bonde; 11 grandchildren, Eric (Lauran), Kevin (Terra), Allison (Eric), Dr. Brad (Denise), Amy (Ian), Bridget (Jim), Brett (Emma), Camrin, Brayden, Logan, Brianna; great-grandchildren, Daphne, Ayden, Riley, Elliot, Leah, Lilyana; step grandchildren, Jociyn, Jacodi, Justin; sisters and brothers, Ethel Heir, Elsie Gengler, Frank Fameree, and Ernie (Mary Ellen) Fameree; sisters-in -law and brothers-in-law, Joan Fameree, Mary Ann Fameree, Tobi (Lon) Sterell and Dale Vandervest; and the Heraly family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Loyd, her son, Brian; great-grandson, Trenten; brothers and sisters, Betty (Joe) Arendt, Orville (Audrey) Fameree, Sam Fameree, Jeanette Vandervest, Jim Fameree, Allen Fameree, Emma Jean (Rudy) Hanamann; brothers-in-law, Merle (Doc) Nelson, Gene Heir, and Alois Gengler.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home – Casco on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 with a wake service at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 8-9:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Fr. Milton Suess officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, lawn gifts and windchimes, a memorial fund has been established in Rita’s name.
