Richard Radtke

July 31, 1922 — September 22, 2012

Richard (Dick) Radtke, 90, Algoma, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012. He was born July 31, 1922 in Appleton to the late Paul and Meta(Hanke) Radtke. Dick married Irene Harrison on December 27, 1947 in Fence, WI.

Dick served during WWII in the Army Air Corps as a Bombardier. He was a member of the National Guard, Army Reserves and retired after 20+ years with a ranking of Colonel. Dick was an Instrumental Music Teacher for 32 years. He was a member of the Wisconsin Education Association, Masonic Organization and retired Second Bombardment Group.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Irene; his faithful companion, Peaches; his children, Valerie Radtke, Glendale, Philip(Lori) Radtke, Michigan, Paul Radtke and Donna, Crivitz; nieces, nephews and cousins; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert(Gladys) Harrison, Norman(Grace) Harrison, Flora(Wilbur) Hack. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan.

Visitation will be held at Algoma United Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 9:30-10:45. A Masonic Service will be held from 10:45-11:00, followed by Funeral Service at 11:00am with Pastor Kevin Dembinski officiating. Burial will be in Fence, WI at a later date.
