Orville E. Kudick, age 86, of Kewaunee died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Helping Hearts Assisted Living in Luxemburg where he resided for the past three years. He was born May 10, 1932 in the Town of Montpelier to the late Henry and Margaret (Siegmund) Kudick.
He married Betty Fiala on June 27, 1953 and she preceded him in death on May 24, 1962.
Orville worked at Kewaunee Engineering, now Kewaunee Fabrications and was a member of Local 487 Boilermakers Union for almost forty-four years until retiring in June of 1996. He also drove a milk truck until 1985. He was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church of Kewaunee. He loved auctions, collecting tractors of all sizes, deer hunting, going to the Village Kitchen and Kunkel’s Korner. Bubba loved spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of his hobbies was hatching eggs of all kinds in antique incubators.
Survivors include five children: Brenda (Peter) Jacobs, Tucson, AZ; Randall (Carol) Kudick, Kewaunee; Jeffrey Kudick, Kewaunee; Karen (Edward) Hanamann, Algoma; Gregory Kudick, Green Bay; eight grandchildren: Nicholas Petersen, Clinton (fiancé, Mackenzie) Petersen, Stefanie Garrett, Derek (Laura) Hanamann, Blake Hanamann, Ashley (friend, Kyle) Hanamann, Kyle (fiancé, Brooke) Kudick, Justin (friend, Deanna) Kudick; six great grandchildren: Aaron, Mya, Lane, Anika, Sophia and Henry; three sisters-in-law: Helen Kudick, Denmark; Joyce Wachal, Algoma and Pat Ledvina, Kewaunee. Many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Justine Kudick; sisters and brothers in-law: Myrtle (Glenway) Luedtke; Ruth (Elmer) Prodell; LaVerne (Elmer) Koehler; one brother: Henry Kudick Jr.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Matt and Lucy Fiala; two brothers-in-law: Charles Wachal and Francis Ledvina.
Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3 until the time of service at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Kewaunee. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Casco.
