Mose J. Moreau, 83, of Casco passed away on Saturday October 26, 2013 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born on March 27, 1930 in the town of Casco to the late Joseph and Adele (Malcore) Moreau. On October 27, 1954 he married the love of his life, Mildred Ferron at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lincoln. Mose was a farmer all of his life and trained many bulls and horses. He was often seen riding his bulls in parades in downtown Casco. Mose also loved hunting with his friends.
Mose is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mildred; three sons Daniel (Cindy) Moreau, Dennis Moreau, and Douglas Moreau, all of Casco; one sister and brother-in-law Phoebe (Ronald) Wendricks; one step-grandson Brian Wautlet, three brothers-in-law Roger (Pat) Ferron, Darrell (Faye) Ferron, Calton (Carol) Ferron; sister-in-law Lavern Haegele; one special niece Janice Jandrin; many nieces and nephews; as well as special friends Richard, Cindy, and Dawn Anderson. Mose will be missed by his best buddies "Buck" and "Daisy".
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Adele Moreau; three sisters Lorraine (Anthony) Deprey, Gladys (Harry) Jandrin, and infant sister Theresa who died at birth; special nephew Randy "Zeke" Deprey; sisters -in-law and brothers-in-law Jule (Signie) Ferron, Frances (Fritz) Haegele, Evelyn Ferron; special friend of the family Jody Anderson; and step-son Wendell Ferron.
Visitation will be held on Friday Nov. 1, 2013 at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco, from 4 to 8 p.m. The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday Nov. 2 until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday Nov. 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Milton Suess officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
