Millicent "Millie" LeCloux, 95, formerly of Algoma, passed away on Friday February 20, 2015. She was born on January 8, 1920 in Kodan, to the late Theodore and Emma (Paape) Maedke. On October 29, 1938 she married Roland LeCloux at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Algoma. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1996. Millie was a former employee in the lab at Algoma Memorial Hospital. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, shopping, and traveling, especially to Europe. Millie was also an excellent seamstress, and will be remembered for making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, some of which were even shipped over to Europe. She also volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul, and was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Society.
Millie is survived by her two sons Thomas LeCloux, and David (Martha) LeCloux; grandchildren Timothy LeCloux, Michael (Allison) LeCloux, Christine (Franco) DeAngelis, Daniel (Lorraine) LeCloux, Michele (Steven) Huegener, Sarah (Patrick) McNally, Kathrine LeCloux, Abby LeCloux; great-grandchildren Christina, Ian, Norah, Owen, Chiara, Ella, Isabelle, Madeliene, Roland, Naomi, Kealan, Delaney, Charlie, Miles, and Sophia. Millie was further survived by her special friend and caregiver Laura Havlovitz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roland; eight siblings; great-grandson Sean Patrick McNally; daughter-in-law Carol LeCloux; and friend Hank Stehula.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church , Algoma, on Tuesday February 24, 2015 from 9:30 to 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 A.M. with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery following the service. Online condolences may be shared here . In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Millie's name.
