Mary Ann (LuMaye) Conard

Mary Ann Conard, 92, Algoma, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. She was born on April 29, 1930, to the late August and Adeline (Tassoul) LuMaye. She married her husband Lawrence W. Conard on June 28, 1949, at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church in Rosiere. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2017.

A hard and continual worker, Mary worked as a cook and waitress at West Side Grill, Wheelers Restaurant. She also worked at Algoma Hardwoods, Algoma Net Company, Kewaunee Enterprise, Cherryland Motel (Annoye’s) in Sturgeon Bay, Wiese Clothing and Wisconsin Label. As well as helping dad deliver Meals on Wheels for 13 years. All while being a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mary is survived by her children, Germaine (Lester) Paape, Cletus J. Conard, Allan (Patti) Conard; grandchildren, Cory (Becky) Paape, Tonya (Dean) Sanner, Annette, Angie, and Allan Jr.; great-grandchildren, god children, nieces and nephews; her sisters, Anne, Sister Gerald; sisters-in-law, Murle, Sandy, Carol; brothers, Gerald (Florence), Harold (Judy); Lawrence’s family, sisters-in-law, Theresa Annoye, Barb Paul, Mary Ann, Rose Marie; brothers-in-law, Leonard (Faye), Alphonse (Candy)

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Lynn (C.J.’s Wife); her brothers, James, Leo, Melvin, Harry, Joseph, Norbert, Maurice, Lawrence, Isadore, Bernard, August Jr., and Henry; sisters, Mildred, Lily, Alice, and Nora. Lawrence’s side, David, Francis (Mary Ann), Jimmy, Florian Jr., sisters, Agnes (Jule) Fameree, Anna Mae (Otto) Kirk, Verna Mae, Cecelia Mae, Johanna; brothers-in-law, Gary Paul, Cy Annoye; sisters-in-law, Carol Conard.

Visitation will be held at Nicolet Memorial Gardens mausoleum from 9-11 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am with Deacon Mark Hibbs.
