Marvin J. Herison

Marvin J. Herison , 74, of Casco, WI, passed away on March 7, 2021. He was born on August 10, 1946 to the late Elmond and Marie Herison. He married, Cheryl Hucek on November 24, 1966 at St. Mary’s in Algoma.  Marvin was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1966 to 1972.

Marvin and Cheryl bought their farm in 1970. Over the years they expanded the farm with new buildings, silos and a pipeline that could support up to 44 cows. His favorite was International “Red” tractors. He loved to farm and be in the fields even after his retirement in 2008. He loved his wife and children. He adored his grandchildren and did whatever he could to make them happy. If there was a project, he was going to make it for them.  He loved to tinker in the shed, restore old toys and machinery and work in the garden.

Today we had to say goodbye to Marvin Herison, husband, father, grandfather. We were not prepared for this, we don't think we ever could have been. After all the challenges he overcame in his life, we somehow never saw this day coming, at least not today. Marvin was a dairy farmer. He worked hard, helped others, loved his family, and did his best to provide for us. He knew we loved him, and we knew he loved us. We were there when he passed, and as much as we wanted him to live longer, we knew that was impossible. We pray to be as good a person, as he was.

Marvin is survived by his wife Cheryl; his sons Dan Herison and Joe (Amy) Herison; grandchildren, Nick, Lauren, and Cooper; brother, Mark Herison; sister Luann (Arlen) Wendricks; Brothers in-law; John Hucek, Craig (Connie) Hucek, Bruce Hucek, Chuck (Jenny) Hucek and as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmond and Marie Herison; brother Jim Herison; and in-laws.

Visitation will take place at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church – Rosiere, from 9:00-11:00 am on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Due to COVID-19, social distancing will be practiced, and facemasks are required to be worn.
