Marlene Lucille (Seidl) Orr

Marlene Lucille Orr, 78, Kewaunee, died Saturday evening May 28, 2022 at Bellin Hospital. Marlene was born on November 21, 1943  to the late Peter and Lucy (Robinson) Seidl. She grew  up on a small dairy farm in Krok and graduated from Kewaunee High School. She worked as a cook for Larry & Mona’s/Kunkel’s Korner for over fifty years and for the Kewaunee School District as a lunch aid and playground supervisor for forty years.   She  married George Orr on June 24, 1967, soon to  have celebrated fifty-five years of marriage.

Marlene was a loving mother and grandmother.  Her sons, Kevin and Kurt, were the pride of her life and she cherished following and  watching her grandchildren’s sporting events in Rice Lake. She  enjoyed being with family and friends and especially enjoyed all the large family gatherings.   Marlene was a very generous, caring individual who was a member of Holy Rosary Parish.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, George Orr (May 14, 2022), one son, Kurt (1991), her father and mother Peter and Lucy Seidl,  in-laws James and Kathryn Orr and sister-in-law Louella Orr.

She is survived by her son Kevin, daughter-in-law Kelly, six grandchildren, Jenna (Colton) Robach, Mckenzie, Lexi, Tyler, Zachary and Morgan, great-grandchildren, Jaxson & Gianna Robach, her brother Peter (Patti) Seidl, and sisters Colleen (Kurt) Burmeister and Connie (Kurt) Kadletz, many nephews and nieces and extended  members of George’s family:  sister in-law Cleva (Alan) Pelnar, brother-in law Bob (Sue) Orr.

The  family would like to thank all her friends and family for the support and love shown to Marlene these past few years driving her to appointments, assisting her with yard work or grocery shopping or just being there for a helping hand or listening ear.

The funeral will be held at 11 AM on Friday June 3 at Holy Rosary Church in Kewaunee, with visitation at the church beginning at 9 AM.  Burial to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
