Marie F. (Fiala) Mleziva

Marie F. Mleziva, 97, Kewaunee, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 19, 2022. She was born December 7, 1924, to the late Wenzel and Louise (Paul) Fiala. On August 27, 1946, she married Walter Mleziva at St. Mary’s in Algoma. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2007. Marie worked hard side by side with Walter on the family farm. When she wasn’t working, she loved visiting with family and friends, baking, especially making, baking, and frosting cookies with the Grand and Great-Grandkids. She enjoyed tending her flowers, playing Rummy Royale, and taking care of more kitties than we can count. She was a lover of nature, flowers, and birds. Her faith was very important to her, she was very prayerful and a devout holy woman, selfless and positive. She was a loving and caring person with an unconditional love for her family.

Marie is survived by her children, Lois Reeves of Green Bay, Dennis (Mary) Mleziva of Kewaunee, Doris (Mike) Berger of Luxemburg, and Mary Mleziva of Kewaunee; grandchildren, Kathy (Mike) Marcusen, Brenda Frisque, Michael (Dawn) Mleziva, Lee Berger, Keith (Bridget) Berger; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Lydia Marcusen, Xavier, Chloe, Aspen, and Oliver Mleziva, Charlie and James Berger. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter; her parents; brother Edward Fiala; and sisters, Irene Blahnik and Evarista Nell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Kinnard Funeral & Cremations Services – Casco from 4:00- 7:00 pm. Prayer Service will be at 6:45pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 9:00-11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church – Casco. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 with Fr. Daniel Schuster officiating. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
