Margaret (Margie) Ann (Schleis) Parmenter

Margaret (Margie) Ann (Schleis)  Parmenter, age 62 of Kewaunee died on Monday, July 11, 2022.  She was born on November 09, 1959 in Kewaunee to the late Milton and Marilyn (Seidl) Schleis.

Margie graduated from Kewaunee High School with the class of 1978.  She then went to technical school for cooking and interior design.

She married Glenn Parmenter on August 24, 1996.  For many years she was a self employed interior designer.

She loved to volunteer and help people, especially Lakeshore Community Food Pantry. Animals were her passion  and were never turned away, even baby skunks.

Survivors include Glenn, her husband; a sister and brother-in-law: Missy and Joe Wotachek, Kewaunee; three brothers and one sister-in-law: Michael and Mark Schleis,  both of Kewaunee; Marty and Joy, Mishicot; three brothers-in-law: John Shaulis, Knoxville, TN,  Bill (Karla) Parmenter, Tigerton, WI; Jeff Parmenter, Wittenberg, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Monica Shaulis, one nephew, Adam and one special great aunt, Estelle, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ralph and Linda Parmenter.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee.  A parish wake service will be at 7:00 p.m. by Christal Wavrunek.  Visitation continues at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Church Stangelville with Fr. Terry LaComb officiating assisted by Christal Wavrunek, Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Krok.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Becky Paplham and Mary Donaldson and to all the others that sent prayers, cards and gifts.  Margie will be truely missed by all.

As Margie would say “I lived and I died”.
