Luella S. Schreader

May 23, 1918 — November 12, 2017

Luella Schreader, age 99 of Town of Montpelier died on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Atrium of Kewaunee Nursing Home with her family at her side. She was born on May 23, 1918 in Green Bay to the late Joseph and Johanna (Vanden Huevel) Servais.

She married Hilton Schreader Sr. On November 19, 1938 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1977.

Luella worked for many years at Leyse Aluminum Co. In Kewaunee and Mirro Aluminum Co. in Two Rivers.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph/St. John’s Chruch in Pilsen, now St. Therese Parish and a member of the St. Joseph/St. John’s Altar Rosary Society, She was a member of the Polish American Legion Auxiliary of Eaton and the V.F.W. Auxillary of Bellevue for over thirty years.

She did volunteer work at the Brown County Mental Health facility until she was 97 years old.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law: William and Brenda Schreader, Jacksonville, FL; Hilton Schreader, Montpelier; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Judy and Marvin Sr. Dorn, Luxemburg; Gloria and Earl Peterson, Algoma; Margaret Theys, Green Bay; Suzanne and Kevin Geimer, Pound, WI; twenty-one grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; one sister: Elaine Gezella, Green Bay and one sister-in-law: Marge Servais, Green Bay. She was preceded in death by one son: Robert Schreader; one infant daughter, Mary; two sister: Marie (Clifford) Moore; Bernice (Henry) Nitka; one brother: Robert Servais; one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 17 at St. Joseph/St. John Church at Pilsen until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Fr. Dennis Drury, assisted by Christal Wavrunek. Burial, following the funeral lunch, will be in St. John’s Cemetery at Krok.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of St. Vincent Hospital and Atrium of Kewaunee for all the care they gave to their Mom.
