Lani Swanson

Lani L. Swanson entered heaven Dec. 18, 2024, from a 37-year battle with 3 different cancers. She was born August 29, 1962, to Celia and late Marvin Forsty. She was born in Madison, WI, raised in Columbus and then moved and graduated from Tomahawk High School. Lani married Bill Swanson, who was in the Navy and relocated them to South Carolina and Washington. When in Washington she gave birth to their son Shawn and moved to Kewaunee, WI. Shortly after gave birth to their second child, Dallasandra.

Lani worked for 31 years at Alaskan Golf course slinging drinks with that infectious smile. She loved volleyball, softball, bowling, and golf. She traveled a lot with her family and made friends wherever she went. She loved organizing events, such as Cure for Cancer events, near and dear to her heart. She loved to take care of her kids and her grandkids. She was even a mother to all her kid's friends feeding them breakfast after practices on Saturday mornings and taking them on vacations ensuring everyone was happy and having a good time.

Lani is survived by Celia, her mother; Bill, her husband of 42 years; their 2 children, Shawn (Kim) Swanson and Dallas (Mike) Popovich; 3 grandboys: Bryson, Vince, and Aiden. She is preceded in death by Marvin, her father, and Tammy, her sister.

Visitation will take place at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services - Kewaunee, on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. with a short prayer/reading at the end. On-line condolences can be shared at KinnardFCS.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Lani's name.
