Keith L. LaViolette , 72, Casco, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at home with his loving wife by his side. Keith was born on July 7, 1943 in Door County the son of the now late Louis and Artyce (Starr) LaViolette. He was a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School. Keith owned and operated Casco Service and Skeeters Speed Stop for many years. He was also employed at Sanimax Corporation for over 19 years. On September 4, 2004 he married Sophia Baskin-Green. Keith was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt when he had the chance. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many~ he will be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed.
He is survived by his loving wife Sophia, his children Luanne LaViolette, Lisa (Rick) Kidney, Lori DeJardin, Les (Tammy) LaViolette, 4 step-children Courtney (DeShawn) Peterson, Sophia M. (Rodney) Coleman, Michael and Antoine Baskin, 6 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, sisters Millie Monfiles, Vivian Johnson, Virginia Meiner, Donna Nicholson, Doris Wolski, Faye (Willie) Kolstad and brothers Roy LaViolette and Louie (Sue) LaViolette. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Phyllis and Shirley, 1 brother Kenneth, 1 brother-in-law Darreld Wolski, 1 sister-in-law Mary LaViolette.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 P.M.to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home 107 Wiesner Avenue, Casco. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 6:00 P.M. Online condolence messages may be expressed here .
The family would like to offer a special thank-you to the EMT First Responders and the Emergency Room staff at Aurora Baycare Medical Center for all of their efforts and compassion in trying to save Keith.
