Katherine M. Krautkramer

Kathy M. Krautramer, 64, Algoma, passed away on November 9, 2024. She was born on May 12, 1960, to the late Earl and Grace (Viles) Vanness. She married Joel Krautkramer on July 16, 1982, at St. Mary's - Algoma. Kathy was a familiar face in the area, always lending a helping hand as a volunteer at the food pantry and sharing her warm smile at both Vande Walle's Candy and the Door County Candle Company. Her dedication extended to her involvement in the St. Mary Rosary Society and her diligent work as an Election Poll worker.

Beyond her volunteering, Kathy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished the moments spent with her family, especially her adored grandkids, sharing stories and laughter that will forever echo in their hearts. One of her favorite pastimes was retreating to the cabin on Pine Lake, where the tranquility of nature brought her immense happiness.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Joel Krautkramer; children, Andy (Amy) Krautkramer, Susan (Allen) Salzsieder; grandchildren, Everly, Tenley, Brinley, Kensley, Karly, Elly; brothers and sisters, Sister Kathlyn, Jean (Ed), Sister Carolee, Gary (Shelly), Mary (Fred), Tess (Steve), Mike (Tammi), Joanne (Damon), as well as by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Grace and her in-laws, Sy and Audrey.

Visitation will take place Friday, November 22, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services - Algoma with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church - Algoma. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am with Fr.
