Karen M. (Koss) Havel

Karen M. (Koss) Havel, 80, passed away on December 13, 2022. Karen was born on October 3, 1942, in the Town of Luxemburg to the late Ben and Collette (Junion) Koss. She married Joseph Havel Sr. on May 8, 1965, at St. Odile Catholic Church Thiry Daems. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1988. Together they had one daughter, Julie.

Karen is survived by her 3 brothers, Eben (Lois) Koss, Gene (Mary Jane) Koss, Karl (Lynn) Koss; Joe’s children, Mag Havel and Joseph (Jo Ann) Havel Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Julie Havel; brother, Glen (Marian) Koss; and Joe’s Children, Cletus Havel, and Betty (Joe) Kinnard.

Visitation will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church – Lincoln, on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 9 to 11 am with Mass of Christian Burial taking place at 11:00 am with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Entombment will follow at the Shine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
