Judith M. (LaCrosse) Schleis, 81, Norman, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay on December 7, 2021. She was born at home in the Town of Scott on April 24, 1940, to the late Joe and Emma (Wery) LaCrosse. Judy married the love of her life, Ronald Schleis on May 14, 1977. Church was very important to Judy and she spent her time helping at the church. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, she loved spending time with them and her whole family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, crocheting, canning, baking Belgian pies, playing Rummy, doing puzzles, and playing bingo.
Judy is survived by her husband of 44 years Ron; her children, Ron (Katie) Schleis, Jr, Kewaunee, Jon (Kristin) Schleis, Luxemburg; grandchildren, Caleb, Cora, and Cade Schleis, and Claire & Stella Schleis; brothers Joe “Buddy” (Helen) LaCrosse, Sidney (Fran) LaCrosse, Stanley (Joyce) LaCrosse; sisters, Gloria Urban, Carol Cravillion, Theresa (Kenny) Ledvina; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Tom (Barb) Schleis, Francis (Terry) Schleis Jr, Mary (Kevin) Prybil, Carol (Eugene) Ott, Russel Schuster, and Leonard Smidel.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Jo; her parents, Joe and Emma LaCrosse; sisters, Jackie Smidel, and Shirley LaCrosse; in-laws, Francis and Elaine Schleis; sisters-in-law, Marlene Schuster, and Anne Schleis; brothers-in-law, Roger Urban, and Bernard Cravillion.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 4-7 pm at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, Tish Mills. Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday December 13 from 9:30-11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph cemetery in Norman. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services (formerly Wiesner & Massart Funeral Homes) is assisting the family.
