Judith Ann Deprey , 75, of Dyckesville, passed away May 16, 2021, with her loving husband, Ken, by her side.
She was born to the late Wilmer and Verna (Neuville) Delwiche, November 29, 1945, in Maplewood, Wisconsin. She was a member of the first graduating class of Southern Door High School in 1962. Upon graduation and until 1968, Judy worked as a nurses aide at Algoma Hospital. On September 18, 1965, she and Ken began their life together. Soon after, they would move to Dyckesville where they started a convenience store in 1981 that was Judy’s pride and joy. She was the heart of the business taking time out of her busy duties to greet seasonal residents and chat with many regular customers. Many of her employees became life-long friends. Everyone who knew Judy was touched by her vibrant spirit: she was a good listener, a great letter and card writer and overall a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Judy loved her pets Smokey, the cat, and Lucy, the dog. In her later years, she looked forward to Sunday drives and stops for custard. Before her health really declined, Judy and Ken traveled in their motorhome to the northern and western United States. She continued to be sharp with her word searches and game shows, and could still play a mean game of Scrabble.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband of over 55 years, Ken, and her two children Chris Deprey (Jeanette Ratajczak) and Melissa (Jeff) Jodar, and her grandchildren, Megan and Rachel Jodar, all of Dyckesville. She is further survived by sisters Jeanine Albert, Carole (Rich) Osburn, Lenore (John) Kohlbeck, and Eileen Delwiche; and her brothers Jim (Diane) Delwiche, Mike (June) Delwiche, and Darrell (Linda) Delwiche; sisters-in-law, Pam Delwiche, Carol Jacobs and Lynn (Ken) Mraz; as well as by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Mabel Deprey, an infant brother, Anthony, brother, Richard Delwiche, and brothers-in-law Milton Jacobs, Emil “Babe” Alberts, and Keith Deprey and sister- in-law Bonnie Deprey.
