John (Jack) E. Voyles, 88, Casco passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
Jack was born February 14, 1926 in Arvada, Colorado to the late John Roy and Rose Barbara (Blahnik) Voyles. He served his country in the US Navy from 1943-1946 during WWII as a light mine layer aboard the USS Breese.
On April 13, 1948, he married Catherine Koss at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco. She preceded him in death on May 6, 2010. Jack retired as the Police Chief of Kewaunee County and was also known as a painter and store keeper. He was a charter member of the Casco Lions, a life time member of the Casco American Legion, and the Kewaunee VFW as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, hobby farming, but most of all, spending time with his family.
Jack is survived by his children; Mary (Donald) Cole, Ellison Bay; John R. (Mary) Voyles, Casco; James (Ann) Voyles, Luxemburg; Joseph (Ginger) Voyles, California; Carole (Dale) Patenaude, Peshtigo; Thomas (Janice) Voyles, DePere. His grandchildren; Michael (Stephanie) Cole, Jennifer (Matt) Johnson, Mitchell and Traci Buhmann, Benjamin, Bradley (Julia), Andrew and Steven (Joelle) Voyles, Matthew, Kellie and Gina Murphy, Thomas (Kelly), Donald, Daniel and Hope Patenaude, Sage and Cerese Voyles. Great Grandchildren; Caleb Cole, Avery and Baker Johnson, Brenden, Cathryn, Dylan and Ellyn Buhmann, Derek Voyles, Carter Hall, and Noah Patenaude. He is also survived by his sisters; Edith (Jerome) Dolski and June (George) Jackson; Brothers In-Law and Sisters In-Law; Robert (Barbara) Koss, Edward Koss, Annette Koss, Pat Mastalir, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his loving wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Buhmann, grandson, Jonathan Cole and brothers Roy (Hilda) and Gene Voyles. His In-Laws, Elaine (Dale) Jourdan, Mildred Koss, Mary (Bob) Selner, Joseph Mastalir and Lois Koss.
Visitation will be held at Wiesner and Massart Funeral Home, Casco, on Sunday October 12, 2014 from 3 to 8 P.M. with Rosary at 6 P.M. and Veterans Service at 7 P.M. Visitation will continue on Monday October 13, 2014 at the Funeral Home until 10 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Church, Casco with Fr. Milton Suess officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military rites. Online condolence messages may be expressed here .
