Jean M. (Kostichka) Bair

Jean Marie Bair , 89, Algoma, passed away on December 6, 2020 at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit with her family at her side. Jean was born on August 24, 1931 to the late Wilfred and Mary (Stangel) Kostichka. She married Francis Bair on July 3, 1954 at St. Mary’s in Algoma. She worked in the office at Plumbers Woodwork in Algoma for many years before retiring. Jean enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going for walks and reading.

Jean is survived by her husband, Francis Bair; her children, Julie (Mark) Nell, Lynn (Robert) Vlies, Mike (Sue) Bair, Lisa (Kevin) Wade; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; as well as by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Mary Kostichka; son, Patrick Bair; brother, Gerald Kostichka; sister, Verna Acampora; great-grandson, Deacon Nell; brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law.

Due to COVID-19, the visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home – Algoma is assisting the family.
