James "Jim" J. Jadin

James “Jim” J. Jadin, 79, Luxemburg, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, August 28, 2023. Jim was born on June 13, 1944, to the late Julius and Arlene (Vandervelde) Jadin. On September 15, 1962, he married Betty Malcore at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lincoln. Jim, in addition to owning J. Jadin Inc, also served as the Kewaunee County Highway Commissioner with the Kewaunee County Highway Department and served on the Bank of Luxemburg Board.

Jim had a strong faith and visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help often. Jim took great pride in his family business with his son Jerome. He had a passion for keeping everything neat and clean. He enjoyed being together with family and friends at tractor pulls and hunting. He had a heart of gold and wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of.

Now his job is done. May He Rest in Peace.

Jim is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Betty Jadin; children, Lynn (Brian) Seidl of Luxemburg, Jerome (special friend Debbie) Jadin of Luxemburg; grandchildren, Sarah (Brent) TeKulve, Brent (Jess) Seidl, Jordan (Madison) Jadin, Jared (special friend Nicole) Jadin; great-grandchildren, Colton and Kate Seidl, and Hayes Jadin; sisters, LouAnn (Dean) Geitz of Algoma, Cheryl (Richard) Delebreau of Kewaunee; sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Paul) Graft of Sturgeon Bay, and Carol Jorgensen of Casco; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Arlene Jadin; brothers, Gary Jadin, and Jack Jadin; brother-in-law, Alvin Jorgensen grandparents, Winfred and Anna Vandervelde, and Fred and Libbie Jadin. As well as by his in-laws, Norman and Beatrice Malcore.

Visitation will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Luxemburg, on Monday, September 4, 2023, from 4-8 pm. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 9-11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 am., with Fr. Daniel Schuster officiating. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at a later date. Kinnard Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
