Harold D. Koehler , 89, of Algoma passed away on Tuesday September 13, 2016 at Bellin Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 14, 1927 in Hankinson, North Dakota to the late William and Rachel (Ostby) Koehler. On May 28, 1950 Harold married Manon Marit. She preceded him in death on September 21, 1995. Harold was a welder and farmer until retirement. In earlier years he enjoyed flying and riding motor cycle with Manon. He also enjoyed fishing, his tractor, Gator riding, and making wood. He loved having cookouts and gatherings with family and friends. He was an avid church goer with a strong faith in the Lord.
Harold is survived by his 6 children Vicki Pintsch, Townsend; Cherie Slavek, Green Bay; Jon (FiancAC. Toni Thomas) Koehler, Algoma; Lee Koehler, Algoma; Nita Hill, Algoma; Lani (Wayne) Fay, Forestville. Daughters-in-law Rosalina Koehler, Kewaunee; Shana Koehler, Oshkosh. 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sons Kris, Ted and Cory Koehler; grandson Zachary Fay; son-in-law Richard Pintsch; brother George Koehler, and sister Ruby Wurl.
Friends may call from 11:00 - 1:00 Friday, September 16, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, N5789 Hwy 42 Kewaunee. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm with Pastor Howard Batt officiating. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Homes are assisting the family. Online condolence messages may be expressed here .
