Gary Bertrand

Gary L. Bertrand, 57, left this world way too early, passing away unexpectedly on Friday, June 28, 2024. He was born on December 4, 1966, to Ruth Bertrand and the late Leonard Bertrand. A graduate of Kewaunee High School, he married Kim Kinjerski on June 18, 1994. He worked at Kewaunee Fabrications for 23 years.

Together they raised two sons, Tyler and Joshua. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, UTV riding with his buddy Turbo. He was the life of the party, always with a cold beer in his hand having a good time with family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife Kim; his sons, Tyler (Hayley) and Joshua (fiancé Erin); his mother, Ruth Bertrand; siblings, Jim (Mary), Jerry (Terri), Mike (Tina), and Mark (Kathy); mother- and father-in-law, Susan and Donald Kinjerski; in-laws, Tracy (Kenny) Theis, and Donny (fiancé Melissa); as well as many close nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; grandparents, Elmer and Clara Kulhanek, Charles and Lucy Bertrand; step-grandmother, Esther Kulhanek, Lawrence and Marie Kinjerski, and Milton and Dorothy Herlache.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 10 am until 1:45 pm at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church - Montpelier. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Dan Olson officiating. Burial to follow at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Henrysville. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services - Kewaunee is assisting the family.
