Frances Anna (Opicka) Burmeister

Frances A. Burmeister , 92, of Kewaunee, WI, entered into eternal life on Thursday, November 1, 2018. Frances was born on August 14, 1926 to the late Henry and Mae (Sterba) Opicka. On June 28, 1952 she married the love of her life, Harlan Burmeister, at the Community Congregational Church in Kewaunee. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1995. Frances was a true home maker who loved sewing, gardening, baking, canning, dancing and taking care of her family and home.

Frances is survived by her two sons, Gene and Alan; five daughters, Bonnie Kinjerski (special friend Al), Betsy Burmeister, Alice (Bruce) VanLanen, Kathleen (Mike) Paral and Mary (Mark) Murphy; sixteen grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; brother Henry (Johanna) Opicka; as well as by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan; parents, Henry and Mae Opicka; an infant daughter; sister, Evelyn Paplahm; daughter-in-law, Sharon Burmeister; son-in-law, Brian Watson; great-grandson, Sawyer Marcelle, grandson-in-law, Brad Vanness; as well as my many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Community Congregational Church - Kewaunee, from 9 am until 10:30 am. Funeral Service to take place at 10:30 am with Pastor John Wallace officiating. Burial to follow service at the Riverview Cemetery.
