Ethel M. DeBauche, 92, of Forestville, passed away on February 26th, 2013 at her home. She was born December 22, 1920 to the late William and Myrtle Steinke in Belle Plain, Shawano County , WI. As a child she and her family moved several times to various locations throughout northeastern Wisconsin. She moved to Sturgeon Bay, WI during World War II and worked at Leatham Smith Shipyard. Later she worked at Evergreen Nursery, also in Sturgeon Bay until her marriage.
On March 11, 1961 she married Veron DeBauche and they settled on their farm in Forestville, WI. After her marriage she became a full time homemaker, and enjoyed gardening and crocheting. For many years Ethel was a Sunday school teacher at Country Bible Church.
Ethel is survived by her son Joel, Forestville; a step-daughter Darlene Stamp, Texas; a sister-in-law Elsie Fabry, Green Bay; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon; her parents; two brothers, Harvey and Charles Steinke; a sister Eva Steinke; a sister-in-law Hazel Steinke; as well as two step-sons, James and Rodney DeBauche.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturady March 2, 2013 at Country Bible Church, Casco. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 with Bob Steiner, officiating. Burial will following in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco, is assisting the family.
