Erwin P. Doehler, age 90 of Kewaunee died on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Green Bay. He was born in Kewaunee on November 21, 1931 to the late Ervin and Esther (Jerovetz) Doehler.
He attended a one room grade school in the town of Montpelier. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 serving in Okinawa.
Erwin then married Dorothy Ruch September 17, 1955 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Suring and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2019. He and Dorothy were lifelong members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Erwin worked for C. A. Lawton Corporation for many years until retiring. He also operated a saw mill for many years
Survivors include two daughters:Jane Thompson, Kewaunee; Betty Jorgensen, Kewaunee; three grandchildren: Jeremy Thompson; Craig Jorgensen; Jennifer (Joe) Ratcliffe all of Kewaunee; two great grandchildren: Elizabeth Ratcliffe and Veronica Ratcliffe.
He was prececed in death by one brother: John (Jack) Doehler.
Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Carlton until the time of services. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Bruce Schwark officiating, followed by full military rites by Robinson American Legion Post 538 of Carlton.
