Eli G. Buhr, 89, Casco, passed away on February 6, 2024, at Sycamore Lodge Senior Living in Algoma where he lived for 8 ½ years. Eli was born at home in the Town of Lincoln on December 1, 1934, to the late Peter and Louise (DeBauche) Buhr Sr. Eli attended Howe School in Green Bay for the deaf until the age of eighteen. He worked at the Algoma Net Company for 50 years until his retirement in 2003. He loved putting puzzles together and doing circle a word.
Survivors include, one sister, Clara Engebose of Casco; two sisters-in-law, Laura Buhr of Casco, and Barbara Buhr of Green Bay; as well as by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his dad and mother and sisters, Louise Krause, Malionie Deprey, Margaret Buhr and infant sister; brothers, Peter, Anthony, and Nicholas; brothers-in-law, Elmer Krause, Orville Deprey, Harvey Engebose; and one sister-in-law, Ella Mae Buhr.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 11:30 am-1:30 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Mass of Christian Burial taking place at 1:30 pm with Fr. Antonio Rex Palaya officiating. Burial will take place in the Church Cemetery. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
