Eleanor L. (Barrett) Hansen

Eleanor L. (Barrett) Hansen , 88, formerly of Kewaunee, passed away peacefully following a stroke on December 24, 2022. Eleanor was born in Kewaunee on August 24, 1934, to the late Fritz and Helen (Homeyer) Barrett. Eleanor married Chester Hansen on November 28, 1953. Together they shared a beautiful 60 years together. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2014. Eleanor was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandma, and friend. Throughout her life she lived her life to the fullest in her flower gardens, dancing with their friends, traveling and most of all enjoying her grandchildren.

Together they raised 4 daughters, Kathy (Paul) Jacques, Sue Schneider (Wayne Roberts), Linda Hansen (Jim Overly), and Jakki Hansen. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Nicole Vedvik, Hank Kollross, Nathan Kollross, Brian Schneider, Aimee Schneider, Joe Arttus, Dylan Arttus, Brendan Overly, Dakotah Gordon, Colton Mancheski, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, E860 WI-29, Luxemburg, WI 54217 from 10am -12 noon on Monday, January 2, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Entombment to follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolence messages may be shared at KinnardFCS.com.
