Edward A. Strnad 90, of Kewaunee passed away on October 5, 2013. He was born January 13, 1923 to the late Joseph and Katherine (Koss) Strnad. He married Mary Ann Paral on Novemeber 4, 1944. Edward was a lifelong dairy farmer in Slovan until his retirement. He was also a carpenter and mechanic. He enjoyed Polka music.
Edward is survived by his children Joyce Takle, Jean (Donald) Lenz, Karen (Clinton) Kinstetter, Gary Strnad, Steven Strnad, Lou Ann (Steven) Rombaugh; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; one sister Helen (Ralph) Ropson; two brothers Joe (Carol) Strnad, Jim Strnad; and two brothers -in-law Arnold Dart and Bill Pickett. He was preceded in death by one daughter Carol Ostermeier; a son Edward J. Strnad; 2 grandchildren; one infant brother; and four sisters Mary (Richard) Gabriel, Dorothy (Donald) Defnet, Rosemary Dart, and Katie Pickett.
Visitation will be held at Wiesner & Massart, Casco on Tuesday October 8th, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. Wake service will take place at 7 p.m. with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue on Wednesday morning at the funeral home until 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday October 9th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Milton Suess officiating.
