Dr. William Dishmaker, age 79 of Kewaunee passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. He was born in Kewaunee on July 3, 1941 to the late Dr. Gordon and Florence (Zuill) Dishmaker.
Bill graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1959, then graduated with a B.S. from U. W. Madison in1962. He then went on to graduate from the Marquette School of Dentistry in 1967. He came back to Kewaunee and joined his father’s dental practice and practiced dentistry for fifty years until retiring in 2017. He married Sharon Dempsey on December 4, 1970 in Bear Creek, WI celebrating fifty years last December.
He was a fifty year member of the Brown, Door, Kewaunee Dental Society. Bill was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fly fishing, trap shooting, pheasant hunting. He was very active with the Kewaunee Hunting and Fishing Club, working at every Trout Boil. He was a member of the Kewaunee Bowling League for over fifty years. Bill was a Packers Stock Holder and attended every game since the 1950's. He had a love for music, playing the piano, organ and banjo.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; a sister-in-law, Vaugn (Russell) Burton, Appleton and nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held with entombment at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
