Donna L. (Drahiem) Tahlier

Donna L. Tahlier, 90, Algoma, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. She was born on August 5, 1931, to the late John & Lucille (Terrian) Drahiem. She married her husband Jerry Tahlier on October 17, 1953, at St. Joseph’s in De Pere. She worked as an operator for Bell Telephone, sold Avon, was a Boy Scout Leader and then worked at Olsonite in Algoma until she retired. In her free time she helped out at St. Mary's. She loved camping, square dancing, bowling, golfing, and horseshoes, all with her children. She also enjoyed being a “Red Hatter.” She enjoyed living her last year and a half in the house her and Jerry bought together with her daughters Luann and Peggy taking care of her. Plus, a big, big help from her granddaughter Melissa who gave her the best relaxing shower in the world, plus did her nails and called her sexy when all done.

Donna is survived by her children, Michael (Michele) Tahlier, Luann Kellner, Peggy Tahlier, Jerry (Lisa) Tahlier, and Duane (Julie) Tahlier, all living in the Algoma area. Grandchildren, Pete Peterson, Jr., Melissa Keuter, Jessie (Kenny) Malcore, Michelle (Dave) Bouche, Todd (Brittany) Tahlier, Steve Tahlier; great-grandchildren, Abby Peterson, Dakota Peterson, Brady Peterson, McKenna and Madelyn Tahlier, Michael, Bre, and Bailey Malcore; great-great-grandkids, Isabella, Tinsley, and Tatum Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Tahlier; parents John and Lucille Drahiem; in-laws, John and Beulah Tahlier, and brother Phillip (Bud) Drahiem.

Visitation will be held at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Algoma, on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 9-11:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 pm (noon) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Algoma with Fr. Andrew Kurz officiating. Entombment to follow in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
