Donald Thomas Seidl, formerly of Kewaunee, WI passed away on Saturday, December 24th at age 69. He was born in Algoma, WI on November 15th, 1953, to Donald and Marlene (Swagel) Seidl. He grew up in Kewaunee, WI and was a graduate of Kewaunee High School Class of 1972.
After high school, he enlisted in the Army. After graduating from basic training and Airborne school, he served in the Signal Corps, including a deployment to Turkey. He also served in the Army Reserve with the 84th Division. Donne held several jobs over the years, including working at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, as a deputy with the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department, and working at Lakeside Construction, before retiring as a welder at Kewaunee Fabrications.
Donne will be remembered as kind-hearted and as somebody that loved to make people laugh, always ready with a joke or quick one-liner. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar, comedy movies, history, and sharing stories with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother Marlene Seidl (Kewaunee), son Jason Seidl (Fox Point, WI), three sisters and two brothers-in law: Donna Wallace (Kewaunee), Diane (Tim) Dolski (Kewaunee), and Denise (Steve) Schleis (Kewaunee), Barb Westen (Jason’s Mom), special friends Patty and Cameron, as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald, brother David, brother-in-law John Wallace, and nephew Joseph Wallace.
Friends may call from 9 am to 11 am at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Kewaunee, 1425 Ellis St., Kewaunee, WI 54216 on Saturday, December 31st, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Kewaunee to follow.
