Donald J. Collins

Don Collins , 69, of Bedford Texas (formally from Wisconsin) passed away on April 23,2023 from a short battle with cancer. Don was born on Sept 23,1953 in the town of Lincoln to the late Harold & Elaine (Everard) Collins.

Don enjoyed living 6 months in Texas & 6 months in Wisconsin so he could golf year-round. He certainly has bragging rights to have gotten “a hole in one” not just once, but four times!! During his life he enjoyed welding, and teaching line dancing classes. He also kept very active playing volleyball & biking. Don was a great storyteller & loved to make people laugh.

He’s survived by his Children: Cindy (Ruben) Olmsted/Jackson, Nick (Rebecca) Collins, Jackie (Brian) Stollfus. And 5 grandchildren: Jada, Gabriella, Cecelia, Taryn, Tenley; also survived by brothers & sisters, Jill Jeanquart, Diane (Greg) Dorner, Dave (special friend Rhonda), Janet Lemens (special friend Bob), Mike (Vicky), and Chris (Shelly).

He was preceded in death by his mom & dad and a special brother-in-law Ken Jeanquart.

Visitation will be held at St John’s Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Rd, Luxemburg, WI 54217, on Sat. May 6, from 2:30-4:30, the funeral service at 4:30 with Pastor Carl Brewer officiating.
