Dennis J. Cherney, age 79 of Kewaunee died on Thursday, March 10 at home. He was born on December 11, 1942 to the late Joseph H. and Lucille (Vogeltanz) Cherney.
He graduated from Kewaunee High School with the class of 1961. He farmed all of his life in the Town of Carlton and also worked at Formrite Tube Co. For many years until retiring.
Survivors include three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Joseph and Carol Cherney, Kewaunee; Norbert and Ethel Cherney, Manitowoc and Robert Cherney, Kewaunee, two nephews: Craig Cherney and Brian Cherney and four nieces: Stacy (Dale) Mueller, Kim (Brad) Robinson, Wendy (Ryan) Destree, Dawn (Jason) Donlinger.
Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 15 at St. Lawrence Church at Stangelville until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Fr. William O’Brien assisted by Christal Wavrunek, Pastoral Minister. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
