Debra M. Obry

Debra M. Obry, 61, Kewaunee, passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Deb was born on February 21, 1962, to the late Marvin and Marie (Hoffman) DeJardin. After graduating from high school she went on to school to become a beautician. She married Robert Obry on June 4, 1983, in St. Mary’s in Luxemburg. Deb was involved in the Jaycee’s of Kewaunee, Town of West Kewaunee Supervisor, Poll worker in the Town of West Kewaunee, helped set up the First Responder group in West Kewaunee, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Her joys in life included her grandkids, she loved knitting, scrapbooking, cooking, baking, and decorating cakes for the family, and she liked to keep the house decorated. Bob and Deb also followed the band Spice wherever they went. And Bob always liked to joke that he never did the three “C’s”, Deb did all the Cooking, Cleaning, and Cutting the lawn. She also enjoyed feeding the birds, raising the barn kittens, and traveling near and far.

Deb is survived by her husband Bob of 40 years; son BJ (Jenny) Obry of Kewaunee, daughter Mindy (David) Popke of Green Bay; grandchildren, Ali, Kaley, and Thomas; siblings, Tim (Bev) DeJardin, Theresa (Glenn) Dart, Lori VandenBush, Ted (Ally) DeJardin; friend of the family Paula Whiting; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gene (Carol) Obry, Grace Obry, Glenn (Meredith) Obry, Merlin (Kelli) Obry, Gloria (Jim) Zemple, Paul (Janice) Obry, Kathy (Tom) Vanness, Michele (Jim) Kitzinger, Lowell (Ruth) Obry, Al (June) Obry, Bev (Chris) Kohnle, and also survived by many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Marie DeJardin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Helen Obry, brother-in-law, Myron Obry; and sister-in-law, Connie Obry.

Visitation will take place at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services - Kewaunee from 4-7 pm on Tuesday December 26, 2023, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, visitation will continue at Immanuel Lutheran church - Kewaunee, from 9-11 am on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Funeral Service at 11:00 with Pastor Matthew Sprunger officiating. Burial to follow in Riverview cemetery.
