David Rohr, age 74, of Kewaunee died unexpectedly on Saturday, Noember 18, 2017. He was born on May 15, 1943 in Kewaunee to the late Florian and Clara (Chapek) Rohr.
He graduated from Kewaunee High School in1962, then served in the U. S. Army.
David married Carol Verdegan May 25, 1963. He worked for the City of Kewaunee Water and Sewer Department all of his life until retiring in 1998.
He was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Parish, Kewaunee Hunting and Fishing Club and Moonriders Snowmobile Club. David had a lifelong passion for hunting, camping and keeping his family close to him. It gave him great pride to help others in any way he could.
Survivors include his wife Carol; one daughter and son-in-law: Lori and Tim Laes, Suamico; One son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Emily Rohr, DePere; four grandchildren: Reanna, Caden, Cash Laes; Grace Rohr; three brothers: Jim (Jean) Rohr; Bill (Cathy) Rohr and Mike Rohr all of Kewaunee; his father-in-law: Larry Verdegan, Kewaunee. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Tom and Florian Jr.; three sisters: Florence Vlasak; Joyce Sellers and Nancy Rayome.
Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee at 2:00 p.m. by Fr. Peter Stryker and Dcn. Chuck Agnew. Burial with full military Rites will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
