Charles (Charlie) P. Rohr, age 69 of Kewaunee died on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at home with his family by his side after several courageous battles with cancer. He was born on July 31, 1953 in Algoma to the late Joseph and Ida (Haberlie) Rohr.
Charlie graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1972. He married Jane Kinjerski on July 30, 1977 at St. Hedwig Church, East Krok.
He worked many places including, Green Bay and Western Railroad and Kewaunee Fabrication, along with operating Gambler Charters and Rohr’s Custom Cycles for many years.
Charlie had a big personality and left an impression on everyone he met. Whether it was his days captaining a charter boat, riding motorcycles, playing in bands or working on the railroad, he always had a great story to tell.
Survivors include his children: Keith (Patricia) Rohr, Kewaunee; Katie (Chris) Winkel, Green Bay; granddaughter: Abby; special friend: Lynn Kruse, Green Bay; brother: Robert (Carol) Rohr, Green Bay; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws: Gloria (Greg) Habeck, Kewaunee; Bill (special friend, Shirley) Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Dan (Pam) Kinjerski, Wausaukee; Linda Kinjerski, Schofield; Gary (Lynn) Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Roger (Dionne) Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Richard (Chris) Kinjerski, Mishicot; Ron (Joanne) Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Wayne (Dawn) Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Dean (Tina) Kinjerski, Kewaunee; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Ida Rohr; his loving wife: Jane; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joseph and Mabel Kinjerski; brother: Alan Rohr; sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Rich Lohrey; brother-in-law: Louie Kinjerski.
Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. A parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Hedwig Church, East Krok until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Fr. Dennis Drury assisted by Christal Wavrunek, Pastoral Minister.
The family would like to thank the staff at Unity Hospice, Green Bay Oncology, and all of his friends and family that provided care and support for Charlie.
