Carolyn A. (Jerry) Kinstetter, Kewaunee, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born in Green Bay on July 4, 1932, to Antoinnette (Breuninger) and Clarence Jerry. On September 25, 1954, Carolyn married Richard, her beloved husband of 69 years. She shared her birthday with her husband Richard who preceded her in death on October 15, 2023.
Mother of Debra (Dale) Sinkula, Richard Jr (Sue Ann) Kinstetter, Kathleen (Kevin) Reichley, and Charlene (Laurie) Kinstetter. Proud grandma of 9 grandchildren, Joseph Sinkula, Michael Sinkula, David (Ashley) Sinkula, Richard J Kinstetter III, Ana (Patrick) Merchak, Karrie Kinstetter, Andrew (Michelle) Dolski, Jeffrey Vercauteren, Karly Vercauteren. Great-grandma to 7 great-grandchildren, Carter and Blakely Sinkula, Magnolia, Sage and Jasper Merchak, Fiona Poxson and Charlotte Dolski. Also survived by her sister Claire Rogers and brother Jon (Connie) Jerry, sister in-laws Marion Feuerstein, Judith Kuehl and Wayne. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Their double 4th of July birthday celebrations hold many special memories. Carolyn was the true "firecracker" in the family full of energy.
Preceded in death by her parents Antoinnette Kriescher and Clarence (Hazel) Jerry, in-laws Alois and Arvilla (Paulu) Kinstetter. Brother in-laws, Lloyd Rogers, Eugene Feuerstein, and Donald Kuehl.
Carolyn attended Saint Peter and Paul Catholic grade school in Green Bay and graduated from Saint Joseph's Academy in 1950. She maintained many close friends from the Academy over the years and always looked forward to attending class reunions.
Carolyn and Richard farmed for many years on the family farm. Born a city girl she had to learn how to plow, bale hay and milk cows as well as take care of many other farming chores over the years. Carolyn belonged to the Kewaunee County Homemakers and was a member of the Bohemian Lodge with Western Fraternal (Better Life). After retiring from farming Carolyn went on to work as a waitress at the Grove in Kewaunee for several years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and playing cards with the Lodge members. Carolyn also enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her wonderful homemade pies and kolaches, red velvet birthday cakes as well as endless holiday baking for family and friends.
The family would like to thank the medical staff from Bellin Health for Carolyn's care over the years. The staff at Linden Manor and Abridge Assisted Living in Kewaunee as well as Compassus Hospice for their kind and loving care given to Carolyn this last year.
Visitation will be held on May 11, 2024, from 9:00-10:30 am, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (510 Church Ave. Casco, WI.) Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am. Interment at Riverview Public Cemetery, Kewaunee, WI. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church Casco. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
