Carol Ostrand

Carol Ann Ostrand, 81, Algoma, passed away on May 23, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1943, in Kewaunee to the late August Wautlet and Geraldine Orde. She married Russ Ostrand on December 17, 1993, he preceded her in death on September 1, 2012.

Carol's warm and vibrant presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She took immense joy in playing Cuyoo and Sheepshead, always finding delight in moments spent with her loved ones. As the proud owner of a tavern, she found purpose and fulfillment in serving her patrons with a welcoming smile and a listening ear. Among her many passions in life, Carol enjoyed the pleasure of spending time with Russ, and visiting the Algoma Hunting & Fishing Club.

Carol is survived by her brothers, Robert R. (Colleen) Wautlet, Arnie (Marilyn) Wierer; sister, Darlene Kaminski; her step-children and step-grandchildren; as well as by nieces and nephews, Bobby, Bruce, Felicia, Samantha, Eliott, Oliver, and Nicole. She was preceded in death by her husband Russ, a step-son, and her parents.

In celebration of Carol's remarkable life, a visitation will be held at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services in Algoma, 1617 Flora Ave on May 29, 2024, from 10:00 am. - 1:00 pm.
