Carol Faye A. Strnad

Carol Faye Agnes Strnad, a beloved member of the Casco community, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024, at the age of 92 surrounded by family at the cottage in Lakewood. Born on June 12, 1932, to the late Walter and Lucy (LeGrave) Laurent, she married Joseph Strnad in October of 1950. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2016.

Carol was known as a dedicated school bus driver for the LC School District, Carol touched the lives of countless students and colleagues with her kindness and warm smile. Carol had a deep love for her family. She devoted her life to her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. In addition to her work, Carol was also a passionate member of the community, actively participating in the Holy Trinity Choir, Holy Rosary Society, and Casco Lioness. Her hobbies included sewing, baking cakes, and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. She found joy in spending time with her family, immersing herself in the pages of her favorite novels, and later listening to audio books.

Carol is survived by her children, Kathy (Dennis) Cravillion, Casco, Christi (David) Probst, Howards Grove, Andy (Janelle) Strnad, Kewaunee; grandchildren, Casie Machut, Rory Cravillion, Carly Cravillion, Carey Seelow, Tony Cravillion, Sarah VandenAvond, Christopher Tielens, Lindsay Beckers, Alison Berry, Rachel Probst, Jonathon Probst, Justina Houghtaling, and Brennon Strnad; great-grandchildren, Curt Cravillion, Cole Cravillion, Maximilian Machut, Leo Machut, Owen Machut, Titus Machut, Lily Cravillion, Isabelle Cravillion, Winifred Cravillion, Della Tielens, Calysta Tielens, Kyle Hiller, Trevor Hiller, Evan VandenAvond, and Landon Houghtaling; brother, Dennis Laurent, Algoma; and sisters, Laverne Capelle, Green Bay, Gloria Thomason, Green Bay.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Strnad; children, Linda Strnad, Julie Beckers, and Jennifer Strnad; parents, Walter & Lucy Laurent; brothers, Walter Laurent Jr., Gabriel Laurent, Anthony Laurent; and sisters, Lucille Laurent, Jeanne Wiese; also preceded by brothers- and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 4 pm until 8:00 pm at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Casco, with a prayer service at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday morning, July 12, at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 12 Noon. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:15 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr.
