Bernice M. (Boucher) Massey

August 15, 1927 — July 20, 2013

Bernice M Massey, 85, of Algoma (formally of Gregorville), passed away on July 18, 2013 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Joseph and Hazel (Vandeveld) Boucher on August 15, 1927 in Thiry Daems. On October 6, 1948 she married Milton Massey at St. Odiles Catholic Church, Thiry Daems. They would have celebrated 65 years of marriage this coming October. Bernice was a member of the Altar Society at St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln. She enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Bernice's favorite pastimes included spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, reading, doing puzzle books, and visiting The Chapel.

Bernice is survived by husband Milton; her 5 daughters; Cheryl Massey, Casco; Brenda (Donald) Daul, Algoma; Marcia (Myron) Lemens, Seymour; Rhonda (Jay) Naze, Forestville; Mary Jo (Ronnie) Deprey, Luxemburg; 9 grandchildren: Chad Naze, BJ Naze, Ryan Deprey, Jenna Lemens (special friend Tyler), Samantha Lemens, Evan Deprey, Joelly Lemens, Kayte Lemens, and Savanna Daul. She was further survived by a special god son Ken (Nancy) Boucher; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law including Edwin DeChamps, Rose Boucher, Rose Mary Boucher, and Joyce Boucher, Verdine Frisque, Mary Jane (Gene) Koss, Winnie Massey, Iona Massey, and Don Kaye; her aunt Eunice Laurent; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bernice was preceded in death by one sister Angela DeChamps; four brothers: infant brother Archie, Gaylord, Aloysius(who was also her godchild), and Linus Boucher; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Cyril (Berdine) Massey, Lillian(Richard) Delveaux, Willard Massey, Melvin Massey, and Angela Kaye.

Friends may call at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday July 23, 2013 The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at the church from 9:30 to 10:45a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday at St Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln with Fr. Anthony Birdsall and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Burial to follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
